Bible School

We are having Vacation Bible School, and we are learning a hard lesson. It is amazing- where are the kids? They are playing somewhere. Times they are changing- the church is to bring them in, and it is harder than ever to do that. They don't seem to care.
The ones coming we are focusing on giving them quality care and good Bible study. We are in a sad time. The kids are playing with their computer games, and watching tv, and headed to wasteland- so sad-what a waste.

BECOMING BETTER

TO DO SO WE MUST HAVE A PLAN AND DO IT. STUDYING THE BIBLE SURE CAN HELP US BECOME BETTER. HERE GOES...
JOB 29: 21. Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
JOB HAD SOMETHING WORTH HEARING WHEN HE TALKED- DO WE?
22. After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
PEOPLE THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT HE SAID, AND COULD NOT TOP WHAT HE SAID.
23. And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.
PEOPLE WERE EXCITED TO BE IN HIS PRESENCE.
24. If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
PEOPLE WERE THRILLED IF HE LAUGHED AT THEM AND WHAT THEY SAID. THEY COULDN'T MAKE HIM SAD, THEY WANTED TO MAKE HIM HAPPY.
25. I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners.
JOB WAS THE ONE WHO CHOSE WHAT THEY WOULD DO-WAS HE A JUDGE? JOB WAS THEIR HERO- THEIR KING, THEIR COMFORTER.

LIVING FOR THE LORD

JOB 29: 16. I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.
Job helped the poor and was looking for ways to be a blessing to all-do we?
17. And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
Job worked hard to make sure justice was done- he got involved.
18. Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.
Job wanted his life to matter, even after he died.
19. My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
Job was greatly blessed by God-so are we.
20. My glory was Fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
Job had a deep peace even now in his soul one that only God could give-Wow!!!
Job was ready to be of use for God- are we?
Think seriously about these things-PASTOR JOE Apply them this week...

A BUSY CHRISTIAN

BUSY DOING WHAT? JOB 29: 11. When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:
WHAT JOB SAID PROVED TO BE A BLESSING. WHAT ABOUT WHAT WE SAY?
WHAT PEOPLE SAW JOB DO PROVED JOB WAS A REAL MAN OF GOD. WHAT DOES WHAT WE DO TELL ABOUT US?
12. Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
JOB HELPED POOR PEOPLE-DO WE? REALLY?
JOB HELPED WIDOWS-DO WE?
JOB HELPED THE HELPLESS- WHY DON'T WE? WHAT EXCUSES HAVE WE MADE UP?
13. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
JOB HELPED THE DYING, AND HE WAS A BLESSING TO THE WIDOWS.
14. I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
JOB LIVED RIGHT IN GOD'S SIGHT.
JOB HAD GODLY GOOD SENSE.
15. I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the Lame.
JOB HELPED THE BLIND AND LAME.

LET'S GO TODAY AND EVERY DAY OUT TO BE A BLESSING TO ALL OTHERS-PASTOR JOE

WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

JOB 29: 6. When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; JOB SO LIVED THAT GOD COULD BLESS HIM.
7. When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street! JOB USED HIS GIFTS TO HELP OTHERS....LISTEN...
8. The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.
JOB WAS RESPECTED FOR BEING A GREAT PERSON, AND HE WAS-ARE WE? WHY NOT?
9. The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth. PEOPLE LISTENED TO JOB FOR HE HAD SOMETHING WORTH HEARING AND THEY KNEW IT.

THINK ON THESE THINGS-MORE TOMORROW- HAVE A GREAT ONE-PASTOR JOE

WHAT SHOULD A CHRISTIAN DO?

Job 29

1. Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
Job told stories that had meaning- what kind of stories to we tell?

2. Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;
Job remembered the past, but lived in the present.
Job realized God took care of him and always had.

3. When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;
God led Job, and He desires to lead us-always.

4. As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;
Job was close to the Lord- we can be,too.

5. When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;
Job had close fellowship with God and his family. Families are important...

What are we to be?

Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now [you are] light in the Lord. Walk as children of light— 9 for the fruit of the light [results] in all goodness, righteousness, and truth—
Eph 5:8-9 (HCSB)
God calls us to be lights in a world darken by sin. Our light shines as brightly as our relationship with the Lord. How close are we to HIM?
We are called to be good- as God sees goodness.
We are called to be right- as God sees rightness. Are we living right? Why not? How can we? Get in the Bible, get in church-a good one, get into a church fellowship,NOW.
We are called to stay in the truth- the BIBLE is truth- stay in it, stick with it-its truths never change...
Heed what I say-PASTOR JOE

Sundays are my favorite days- I love Sunday school- especially my class, I love worship, choir specials, special prayers, special songs, times to preach and teach God's Word, people making good decisions. WAIT-WAIT-WAIT

But on the good side my grandson was cutting grass- a belt broke-so he and I got to talk for a while-he is such a neat guy- I love him so much.

STEPS TO BEING A BETTER PERSON

EPHESIANS 5: 1. Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
STEPS TO BEING A BETTER PERSON
1. FOLLOW THE LORD-REALLY WHEREVER HE LEADS
2. WALK IN LOVE- BE A LOVING PERSON.
3. BE SEXUALLY PURE- SEX ONLY WITH YOUR MATE....
4. BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE- BE CONTENT. IF YOU CAN'T ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE- YOU CAN'T ENJOY MORE.
5.WATCH WHAT YOU SAY-THIS IS A BIGGIE STUDY VERSE 4 CAREFULLY.
6. BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE.
THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS-PASTOR JOE

GOD BLESSES

It should be no surprise but God does it again and again- He blesses. What a wonderful day we had yesterday. A good Sunday School class, Stacy did a beautiful special,the choir was wonderful as usual, and the Lord blessed as I shared the message on "the danger of not forgiving"- there was a special Spirit there. Last night Vikki was such a blessing, as was our bunch- thanks to one and all. Then a good time of food and fellowship at a local gathering hole.
The only sad part was Louise was sick; I shall carry her to the Doc. this am. Pray for her and all the sick. The SM message will be on the website ASAP- DONT MISS IT.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK-PASTOR JOE
