GOD IS GOOD ALL OF THE TIME
GOD IS GOOD. In His grace I am glad to report that the prayers yesterday were answered. Bill is better,but still serious, Margaret Ann is showing some improvement. Geraldine is slightly better- to have a test Monday- remember her then,please. Continue to pray for all those who need it.
Let's study a passage- Psalm 119: 18. Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law. Do we open our eyes to what the Bible teaches? You may say-it's an old book-yes, but it is God's book for the ages. Friend the Bible is always right- we need to read and heed it. Spend some time today in the Bible. PASTOR JOE.

PRAY ON

Time for serious prayer
Many of you know me well, and you know that as a pastor and friend I am close to my members. Yesterday, I rushed to the Anderson ER as a precious lady had been taken there for a heart attack. Her heart stopped briefly in the ER, it started again, she had a heart cathe- no blockages- but she has an viral infection in her heart and is in serious condition. Please offer up prayer- 80% recover, and 20% of those fully. So the next 3 days are very important. Please pray for Margaret Ann and her husband Jim, the family and friends. Thanks Pastor Joe...

WHAT'S UP?
Today, I am to have breakfast with fellow pastors and hear a missionary from Israel. I am really looking forward to that. It is great to be with peers, and to hear missionaries, too. After that back to the office for good old study time-one of my favorite things on earth, next to preaching and being with people. Whatever the day has in store- let's do it. HOW DO WE HANDLE BAD TIMES?

GRASS NEEDS CUTTING
One of my least favorite things is grass cutting, but here it is time to do it again. I don't know how you are but when I am cutting grass I think of 20 other things I need to be doing. GREAT NEWS
After a busy weekend, it's Monday-cloudy and rainy. But in spite of that I have some great news. My Buddy
Tater is my buddy, and he knows it. How many good friends do we have? Do they know it? Friends share time, talk, and food. You should see Tater eat- he really enjoys good food. TATER lives simpily. It doesn't take much to make him content. You and I love our toys so much. Most would never give up their toys. To many- toys are more important than people, even family. More lessons from Tater
Tater has a real serious problem with patience. How are we with patience. I believe it is one of the most serious problems in the world. Isn't it funny we have grear patience when we want to-like watching sports or hunting or fishing. How can we learn better patience? There are some good books out there to read on the subject. Lessons from Tater
I have a friend I call Tater. We often call our friends names-like Bubba,etc... I have learned much from my friend Tater. He is a great listener. All of us need to dump, we need friends who will listen well. I must say Tater does listen well. Are we good listeners for our friends or do we cut them off to one up them. Practice just listening-please for the sake of your friends sanity- think about it.

HOW ARE YOU SEEN?
All of us may not realize it, but people have feelings about us. Last night in art class a person from the Tues. night class came for a make up session. In moments it was clear that she was nice and a class act. The whole class enjoyed her being there. Plus she was doing a painting of a blue cow, and on the way home I had to stop and get a milkshake- all because of her painting. How do we influence others? We do. Think about it. PASTOR JOE

Too many they feel as long as I am sincere that is all that matters, but never forget you can believe wrong. Why do you believe what you believe? Do you even know? ARE WE ASHAMED?
Psalm 119:6. Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. How do you feel about yourself? Do you feel ashamed of yourself? That is a bad feeling. But the Bible teaches us that there is a way to live so that we will not be ashamed of ourselves. How? Respect the Bible teaching. What does that mean? Live as the Bible says. Can we do that? They are always making a day special by calling it-email day-Sports hero day,etc. What if we christians called today-LOVE A SOUL DAY? Having fun?
It may sound strange- a christian having fun. The truth is probably the only ones on earth to have real fun are christians. Too many others have fun(?) and can't remember it because of alcohol or other drugs. Today I will be with 20 close friends-that is fun- there are church members- eternal friends. We will go to the senior follies- that will be fun. 2 other friends are in the follies. After the 2 hour show we will go out to eat- and that is fun.

WHERE IS GOD?
Many don't know the real God. He can only be found as revealed in the Bible. Have you ever read the concordance and looked up the references where God is used. What a great homework assignment. As a teacher of the Bible-class get a note book and start with Genesis 1:1, and note the revealed God. When you get stuck, let me know. Who is God? We can know Him. Pastor Joe

The Mystery revealed
Ephesians 3:3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4. Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6. That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
God loves everyone- even you and me.... God desires to have us all become part of His eternal family.. yes-you and me,too.
You may say-you don't know how bad I have been- well you don't know how great God's love and forgiveness is.
Share with somebody today- God loves us, AND WANTS US TO BE PART OF HIS FAMILY- WOW!!!!

Refreshed
How to you get refreshed? Do you? Do you know how? Do you ever slow down? How can we refresh ourselves?
1. It is intentional. This week Mon. and Tues. I heard 6 sermons and about 4 hours of great singing- WOW!!!! I feel so refreshed.... Talked with several old friends- that helped too.
2. The computer can help us to be refreshed. Daily listen to Chuck Swindoll, etc.... Read 3 chapters in the Bible using a highliter, pen and pencil... talk with others about spiritual matters.
