It's Friday

Has a nice ring to it. Does our weekend include time for worship? Is worship really important to us? How much do we worship? Is the weekend highlite rest and play only. In Ezekiel 20-22 the Lord was so upset for His people misused the Sabbath? Do we?
Lord I love You, and may my actions clearly show it-PASTOR JOE

God Has Feelings

Last night I spoke on Ezekiel 20-22, 3 full chapters-great stuff. One thing we learned was that God has feelings. They had hurt His feelings, and He wouldn't listen to His prayers. Why was he so mad-mostly for 3 reasons found in Ezekiel 20:11-12.
11. "And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, `which, if a man does, he shall live by them.'
12. "Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.
They ignored what God wanted them to do, they didn't care what God desired, and last they used the Sabbath for themselves not for God.
Is that true of us-so what? Israel suffered loss, will we escape the judgment of God?

Wasted

Ezekiel 19 is such a needed chapter for us to know. Please read it.
Ezekiel 19

1. "Moreover take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,
2. "and say: `What is your mother? A lioness: she lay down among the lions; among the young lions she nourished her cubs.
3. She brought up one of her cubs, and he became a young lion; he learned to catch prey, and he devoured men.
4. The nations also heard of him; he was trapped in their pit, and they brought him with chains to the land of Egypt.
5. `When she saw that she waited, that her hope was lost, she took another of her cubs and made him a young lion.
6. He roved among the lions, and became a young lion; he learned to catch prey; he devoured men.
7. He knew their desolate places, and laid waste their cities; the land with its fullness was desolated by the noise of his roaring.
8. Then the nations set against him from the provinces on every side, and spread their net over him; he was trapped in their pit.
9. They put him in a cage with chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon; they brought him in nets, that his voice should no longer be heard on the mountains of Israel.
10. `Your mother was like a vine in your bloodline, Planted by the waters, fruitful and full of branches because of many waters.
11. She had strong branches for scepters of rulers. She towered in stature above the thick branches, and was seen in her height amid the dense foliage.
12. But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried her fruit. Her strong branches were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
13. And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land.
14. Fire has come out from a rod of her branches and devoured her fruit, so that she has no strong branch a scepter for ruling.' '' This is a lamentation, and has become a lamentation.
What a shame- God's people have become a waste. Are we doing what God intended for us to do? Have we wasted God's work in us? Think about it-PASTOR JOE

Felix did somethings right

One sad fact-Felix did some things right, but not all things right. Acts 24: 23 Felix told the army officer to keep Paul guarded but to give him some freedom and to let his friends bring whatever he needed.
He almost did the right thing-let Paul go free. How often do we almost do the right thing? How close are we to being right always with God? Where do we fall short? What are going to do about it?
Pray about it-PASTOR JOE

Emily doing great

a 6 1/2 operation on her back, but thank God Emily is doing great.
Last night I spoke on Felix- the ruler that Paul appeared in front of in Acts 24.
He was a good and bad man. He was a politician. He tried to please the religious crowd in verses 1-9. The problem was this religious crowd was not right with GOD, they only thought they were, and no one else was, but they were wrong.
Keeping Rules and good works don't get you into heaven, knowing Jesus as your Savior does. What do you believe about Jesus.
More to come about Felix-PASTOR JOE

EXEKIEL 17

As promised today is about Ezekiel 17-tough stuff.
God is mad at His people.
Why? They love others and ignore Him or treat Him as an after thought.
God will stop that.
God wants the best for them.
God wants them to do well, and not settle for second best.
God will punish them if they don't repent.
Read Ezekiel 17 and check it out, and hear God's message.

the second person to read this blog will be the 7,ooo, scrool down to the bottom on the page to see if it is you, and let me know by making a comment on the blog-please PASTOR JOE

There was a day when God spoke to His people through the prophet Ezekiel. Matter of fact, He still does today. What does God say to them? Tonight we are in Ezekiel 16-19 in our study. Wonder what God will say? Tomorrow I will give you an overview.
Father speak to us now. We need to listen and learn. Thanks so much for the Bible, and what it teaches. PASTOR JOE

Fly like an Eagle

Yesterday I spoke on the eagle. It is refered to several times in the Bible. It is a symbol of safety, God's concern, watchfulness, and one who plans a course of action. It was an unusual sermon, but one to remember.
God will take care of us, because He loves us.
God cares about each of us.
We need to think carefully about what we do and why, and the message our actions give others.
We need to plan what we do, and make good decisions.
Think about these things-PASTOR JOE

Improving?

Are we improving? To not improve is to back up. A t-model was fine in its day, but now look at the cars we have now!
As s Christian are we improving? It takes a plan to improve. Do we have one? When I was a young Christian I look a Bible study course and learned much from it. I always ask what can I learn from this, and I often go on Bible retreats.
Are we improving? Let's do-PASTOR JOE

God is Serious

We have been studying Ezekiel on Wednesday nights. We had 25 or so last night as we were on Chapters 13,14, 15. The point that jumped out of those chapters was- God is serious when He demands first place in our lives. Anything that is more important to us than Him is wrong-sinful and God will punish us for being that way. God is serious-He wants to be #1.
Are we serious with God?
The story is told about a woman who asked her pastor to pray for her lost son. The pastor said he wouldn't until she got right with God. He told her when she laid out of church to cook for him, she was sending him the wrong message-you mean more to me than God. The woman repented after she got over her anger. Soon her son came to church to see what changed his Mother-heard the gospel, and he got saved-glory.

Are we like the Smart Car?

I saw a Smart car in Greenville. I was at the red light, and it pulled up beside me. I looked different, but it is a smart car? Are we smart?
Are we saved?
Are we an active christian?
Are we a good fulltime christian?
Are we ready for the Lord to come back now?
How about our church and us? If Jesus loved it to the point of dying for it, how much do we love it?
Do we love lost souls? What do we do to show that love?
Do we love missions? How do we show that love?
Are we like the Smart Car-PASTOR JOE

A Storm Ahead

All the milk and bread are gone- a storm is coming, it may rain or snow. Get ready, and we all know how-bye, milk and bread.
Jesus may come now. Are we ready? Do you know how to be? John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So please be ready for a snow storm, or for a spiritual storm. Love your soul-PASTOR JOE

Dare to be a Daniel

Last night we had a very good crowd at church- the faithful. We shared a time of worship, and I preached on Daniel. I admire him so. He had strong convictions, and the Lord was first to him. So I issue a challenge to us all-dare to be a Daniel, and let the Lord be in His rightful place. Stop confusing others, and be a Daniel- God first and foremost. God give us the needed courage in this trying hour-PASTOR JOE
