Revelation 3:1

The Message to the Church in Sardis
1. "Write this letter to the angel of* the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit* of God and the seven stars:
"I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive-but you are dead.

ARE WE DOING THINGS FOR GOD, OR WE ASLEEP?
IS GOD SMILING OR SATAN?
WHAT IS OUR MAIN CONCERN?
WHAT DO WE LIVE FOR?
WHAT RINGS OUR BELL?
IS GOD PLEASED WITH US?

Jude 1
3. Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

FAITH TAKES WORK FOR ALL THE DAMONS OF HELL ARE AGAINST US.
MANY DON'T KNOW THE SAVIOR, AND THEY DON'T ENCOURAGE US EITHER.
WORK ON YOUR FAITH.
READ THE BIBLE, PRAY, BE WITH OTHER BELIEVERS.

3 JOHN 1:4-5
4. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
5. Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers,

DO WE WALK THE CHRISTIAN WALK?
MANY TALK IT, BUT DO WE WALK IT?

WHY SHOULD WE?
WE DO IT FOR WE ANSWER TO THE LORD,
AND TO BLESS OTHERS, LOST AND SAVED.

2 John 1:4-5 4.I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
5. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another.

JOHN SOUNDS SHOCKED THAT HE FOUND CHRISTIANS LOVING ONE ANOTHER AS GOD ORDERED.
NEVER FORGET WE TEND TO BE SELFISH.
WE TEND TO LET SATAN JUSTIFY FOR US REASONS NOT TO LOVE OTHERS.
IF JESUS CAME NOW, WOULD HE FIND US LOVING EACH OTHER? PASTOR JOE

1 John 3:1-3

1. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
2. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

IF JESUS IS OUR SAVIOR, THEN WE ARE PART OF THE FAMILY OF GOD-GLORY!
ARE WE A GOOD PART OR A WAYWARD CHILD?
IS GOD PROUD OF US OR NOT?
LET'S MAKE BETTER CHOICES WITH GOD'S HELP.

2 Peter 3:1-4

1. Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),
2. that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior,
3. knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,
4. and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.''

THESE DAYS WE SEE MANY TRYING TO FIND PEACE IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS.
SOUL PEACE CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.
DON'T BE A SCOFFER.
TRY JESUS-YOU WILL LOVE HIM.

1 Peter 3:1-4

1. Likewise you wives, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,
2. when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.
3. Do not let your beauty be that outward adorning of arranging the hair, of wearing gold, or of putting on fine apparel;
4. but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

THE BIBLE IS THE BEST GUIDE FOR HOW TO LIVE.
THINK OF THE BETTER WORLD WE WOULD HAVE IF ALL WOMEN LIVED AS THE BIBLE TEACHES.

James 3:1. My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

TO BE A TEACHER IS A VERY IMPORTANT THING.
IT IS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.
WE INFLUENCE MANY.
GOD WATCHES OVER OUR TEACHING.
WE ANSWER TO HIM.
IF YOU ARE NOT A TEACHER, STOP AND PRAY FOR ALL WHO TEACH,PLEASE.

OH, BY THE WAY WE ALL TEACH BY OUR ACTIONS-PASTOR JOE

Hebrews 3:1-3

1. Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
2. who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.
3. For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.

WE NEED HELP, JESUS IS OUR HELPED, IF WE WILL ALLOW HIM TO BE.
JESUS IS FAITHFUL TO UE-ARE WE FAITHFUL TO HIM?
JESUS GLORIFIES GOD-DO WE?
JESUS BUILDS UP, WE MESS UP.
JESUS WE NEED YOU AND YOUR HELP-PASTOR JOE

Philemon 1:1. Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, To Philemon our beloved friend and fellow laborer,
2. to the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:
3. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4. I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,
5. hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,
6. that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7. For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

LOVE HELPS US DEAL WELL WITH PROBLEMS.
WHEN WE LOVE GOD AND OTHERS-IT HELPS.
PRAYER ALSO HELPS.
A STRAIGHT FORWARD BLUNT APPEAL GIVEN IN LOVE ALSO HELPS.
BEING A BLESSING ALSO HELPS.
LORD, HELP US DEAL WITH OUR PROBLEMS-PASTOR JOE

1 Timothy 3:1-7

1. This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.
2. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;
3. not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
4. one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence
5. (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);
6. not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
7. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

AS WE LOOK OVER THE QUALITIES OF THE BISHOP OR PASTOR OF A CHURCH, WE NOTE FEW WOULD BE QUALIFIED.
GOD LOVES QUALITY.
WITH GOD'S HELP WE ALL CAN BE WHAT WE SHOULD BE.
STRIVE FOR EXCELLANCE. EVEN US. PASTOR JOE

2 Timothy 3:1-5

1. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3. unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
4. traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5. having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

DOES THIS SOUND ANY LIKE NOW?
ARE WE IN THE LAST DAYS?
ARE YOU RIGHT WITH GOD?

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3

1. Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2. And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

WE NEED PRAYER.
WE NEED THE BIBLE.
WE NEED TO GLORIFY GOD.
WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.
GOD PLEASE KEEP US FROM EVIL-PAASTOR JOE

1 Thessalonians 3

1. Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
2. And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
3. That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

PAUL LOVED GOD.

Philippians 3:1-2

1. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

PAUL THE GREAT MAN OF GOD LOVED THESE PEOPLE SO MUCH.
HE WANTED THEM TO BE:
PEOPLE WHO COULD REJOICE,
PEOPLE WHO WERE CAREFUL.
SOMETIMES SATAN SLIPS INTO CHURCH AND PEOPLE JOIN WITH HIM.
SOME ARE NOT RIGHT WITH GOD.
SOME EVEN IN THE CHURCH ARE EVIL.
SOME CAUSE DIVISIONS.
SO PAUL WARNS THEM TO BE CAREFUL.
IN TODAY'S WORLD SATAN STLL HATES THE CHURCH.
BE CAREFUL-WORSHIP JESUS-

Ephesians 3:1-6

1. For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2. If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3. How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4. Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6. That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

THE MYSTERY IS REVEALED.
ANYONE CAN BE SAVED-EVEN YOU AND ME.
GENTILES AND JEWS CAN GO TO HEAVEN.
GOD REVEALED TO PAUL IT IS A GIFT FROM GOD.
WE GET THE GIFT BY BELIEVING ON JESUS.
JESUS IS THE KEY TO HEAVEN-HE IS THE MESSIAH.
LET'S ALL GO TO HEAVEN, AND NOT HELL.

IT IS GREAT TO KNOW THE ETERNAL TRUTHS OF THE BIBLE.
IT IS BETTER TO LIVE THE TRUTHS.
IT IS FOOLISH NOT TO LIVE AS THE BIBLE TEACHES.
SO, THE QUESTION IS- ARE WE FOOLISH?

WE ARE A MESS, SO HE MUST NOT BE FIRST.
