update

Today I carry my precious parents to a nursing home-pray for the and me-please. May God bless it all.
Ephesians 6

1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2. "Honor your father and mother,'' which is the first commandment with promise:
3. "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.''

HOW DO WE TREAT OUR PARENTS? HOW DO WE TREAT GOD? HOW DO WE TREAT EACH OTHER?
WE ALL ANSWER TO GOD FOR THE WAY WE TREAT THEM. GOD HELP US TO THINK SERIOUSLY ON THESE THINGS. PASTOR JOE

OLDER-WISER?

Yes today I am 62, never been that before. They say it is a blast, but who are these "they"? I will by God's grace enjoy every minute and try to live it to the best.
My plans for the day include some of my favorite things. Woke up with my precious Louise, will study some-love that, will try to help Mother and Dad, will be with my brother and sister some, will visit the sick, will speak on the Bible, and be with church friends and my daughter and grands-who I dearly love. Can't beat that.
Get to spend time reading in the Bible and praying- thank you Lord.
You have a good one- PASTOR JOE

Need prayer today-please

Some days we need extra prayer- so true. Today is such a day. Please lift my family up to the Lord in serious prayer- thanks...
Psalm 119:10. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
What are we serious about? What do we really love? What do we care deeply about? Boy does that tell much about us?
How close are to living as the Bible teaches? Do we know what it teaches? We all would be so much better off if we would live as the the Bible says. Try it- PASTOR JOE

Psalm 119:7. I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.
Can we praise the Lord-out loud? We can if are living right because our heart will be right with God. Are we right with God? Why not? Wake up....
Are we learning the Bible- we should be, but are we? Do we often spend quality time in it? Try it.
Last night the church surprised me with a birthday party that was announced Sunday morning- what fun. After service we had c. 94 enjoy finger food- wow!!! It was a blast. Thanks church friends.
Wednesday I will be the big 62. It should be a blast-yeah right. God bless me and use me at 62. PASTOR JOE

Which Part?

Which part of the Bible do we believe and practice? Psalm 119: 6. Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments.
Today most have much to be ashamed of. If we desire to avoid shame, then we would do well to study and know and practice all of the Bible. Think about it- do it.
Glad to report- sister did well with operation- headed home now- Geraldean doing some better- to go home Monday- Mother better yet confused still-PASTOR JOE

Prayer helps

I do believe prayer helps- Mother is so much better-yet mentally confused- soon she will be 82-she is my precious Mother- I love her so-keep her in your prayers- Dad,too, and her care giver-now that she is back at home.
Psalm 119: 5. Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes!
Where do we want to go? That is where we will go. Do we want to go in the right direction? Then we will find a way to. Hint- try the Bible and church-really...
God is trying to help us live better now and forever- wake up-love the book-the Bible and the church-Jesus died for it.
Lord, thanks for loving us-WOW!!! PASTOR JOE

How to be blessed today

Psalm 119:3. They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.
If we want to be blessed today by God we would do well to listen to this Psalm.
It teaches us at least 2 things: 1. Don't do bad things- me nor you. It is a choice we make.
2. Live like the Bible teaches. Why not? The other way doesn't work well. Try living as the Bible teaches you may like it.
Have a good Friday-PASTOR JOE

WHAT DO WE REALLY WANT?

Good question- what do we really want? We go for it, my friend. Read Psalm 119: 2. Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!
Do we know what God wants from us? We are without excuse-He has given us the Bible to read about and to know His will.
Are we close to the Lord? Listen- we are as close as we want to be.... So how close are we? Think about it- PASTOR JOE

Wonderful Wednesday

At least that is my prayer for you. Just got a call- a friend's wife is having a baby-God bless them one and all.
Psalm 119: 1. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! 2 questions come to mind. 1. Are we living right? Why not? What is living right? What does the Bible teach?
2. Does living as the Bible teaches really the best way to live? Try it-you may like it. Read the Bible-get involved in a Bible study group-NOW...
Have a blessed day and be a blessing-PASTOR JOE

Midweek refill

For some this is a very special day-Wednesday. Tonight we have service at church. The youth will meet for bible study. The adults will be finishing Job 29- WHAT SHOULD A CHRISTIAN DO? Sounds good to me. We will share a time of prayer, sharing names and situations; also praying for the unspoken requests.
I enjoy these services. I love to be in them. Try them-you may like them. PASTOR JOE

WHAT INTERESTS US?

THAT IS A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION- WHAT DOES INTERESTS US? How do we spend our time? What do we think about? What are we thinking about now?
When is the last time we exercised our brain? How do we exercise it? What do we do to think? Do we read the Bible? A good book? Do a crossword? Have a good discussion? Do we ever think? Or are just in dullsville?
Think about these things and have a good one-PASTOR JOE

Worship

A part of worship for most is listening to a sermon- most of you didn't hear the sermon yesterday on Nicodemus- A MAN WHO HAD QUESTIONS. You may want to listen to it, or others sermons on refugebc.org site. There are so many great preachers on the web- listen each day to a sermon, and let God speak to you. Start now, yes today.

I am Grateful

I am so grateful to all of our hard workers- so many worked hard preparing things, and then in the VBS. God bless them and use their efforts.
The kids that came were well behaved for the most part, and that is good. God bless them-now and forever more.
I so much appreciate the attitudes of so many- be a blessing, and honor the Lord come what may.
May the Lord honor our Bible school.
Also we had 3 fine young men visit with us for 3 days. I am so glad there are some wonderful youth with great potential for the Lord. What a blessing they are and will be. It was a joy to be with them.
Count your blessings today, and share some good news. Pastor Joe
