Today is a big day
Yes, today is a big day. Today, I sign a contract for my first book with a major book publisher-Tate Publishers. I am thrilled. It will enable me to share the gospel with people all over the world by the printed word. More will be said as things develop. Pray for this amazing project, and have a big day in Jesus- PASTOR JOE

We are all so blessed. God has given us a Savior. He has given us life, and a beautiful earth on which to live. He has given us the good life.

TODAY
The topic today is today. It is precious and often taken for granted. Today what will it bring? What will we do?
Today at 9 I have an appointment to have a wisdom tooth removed- O boy!
Today the Grant family will learn of Betty's chances for a recovery. Today many others will have a very special stressful day.
What will we do today? God will be there and loving us- glory!!!

Thanks for caring about this blog. I know some of you faithfully read this blog, and I hate that yesterday I left so early I didn't do a blog. Today is a new day.
Last night we studied a good woman and found that she is:
Protective of those she loves.
A good listener,
Strong to help as needed.
Does what she must to care for her beloved.

HOW IS OUR SPIRIT?
One thing I have noticed is that we have a lot of power that comes from our attitude. So, the question must be- How is our spirit?

UPDATING
I am glad to report that my Dad doesn't have colon cancer-glory!!!! I am also glad to report that Tonya has released her 2nd CD-I will glory in the cross- if you would like a copy it is $10- please let me know.
I am also glad to report that my 2nd book- SIMPLE CHRISTIANITY- has been released- it is $5- also let me know if you would like to have a copy. It tells about what is a christian, and what do they believe-God use it for His glory.
Please pray for Betty Grant-who is in serious condition with COPD. Also pray for Ena Owen who is in Anderson Hospital.

TAKING DAD FOR TEST
Today I take Dad for colon test. Last night at 12 I had to rush him to the hospital for about 3 hours. Got home about 3:30- short night. Better safe than sorry. Please pray for Dad and I as he has his test about 12:15 today- THANKS-PASTOR JOE

JESUS THE ONE WHO SUFFERED
Where are our scars? When did we last suffer for Jesus?
Jesus suffered for us, and yet we know nothing about suffering. We are spoiled. Our savuation cost Jesus dearly, yet we want no part of suffering and avoid it.

Jesus the source of eternal life
Who is Jesus- as John 14 teaches us-He is the source of eternal life.
John 14
1. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Sunday morning Baptism
It has been way too long since the baptismal pool has gotten wet, but finally a precious young lady-Taylor Riggins has come forward and asked Jesus to be her Savour-glory!!!
She has not missed Sunday School or children's church this year. She has a mother and Dad who cares about her soul, and some real good teachers. She is active in Awanas.
I am so proud of her.

David was good,but great?
David was a good man when he was good, but when he was bad he could cheat and have killed.
Why is it that we too have a problem with staying on track? Do we allow other things to be more important than the right things of God?

DID YOU HAVE A NICE WEEKEND?
Did you have a nice weekend? Do you know or were you like millions who got drunk and wasted away a great weekend? God blessed Louise and I as we celebrated 44 years as man and wife-love that girl. Logan's is where we shared food and some memories and laughs. Sunday we were blessed with worship and sharing time with some wonderful friends. It is great to remember it all. GOD BLESS THE USA-PLEASE
What we need more than anything else is for GOD TO BLESS THE USA. He would if we would do as this verse teaches:2 Chron.7: 14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Friends
Last night we studied More about Friends from 1 Samuel 18. What a blessing. I covered verses 1-11. The main point is- WE CHOOSE TO MAKE A FRIEND, TO BE A FRIEND, TO STAY A FRIEND. We are the better for it, if they are the right kind of friend.
Louise and I are husband and wife and best friends,too.
