Patience

Do we have any?
Do we have much?
Do we have it when we need it?
How can we get some?
Practice doing it all the time.
I am serious.
This is something I need to work on-how about you?
Sure am glad God has patience.
Psalm 37: 9. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
What a promise-think about it-PASTOR JOE

PEOPLE CAN BE WRONG

Psalms 3:1. Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
It is a sad fact people can be wrong. They may be many. They may be sincere. But they can be wrong.
We need the Lord's help, and He will help us-glory!
Ask Him NOW.
Be truthful and sincere.
Lord help me with.... You may well be amazed-PASTOR JOE

HOW TO WIN

2 Chron. 5:18. The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19. And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20. And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
Do we need God?
Do we need His help?
Can we do it on our own?
Do we talk to the Lord?
Do we ask for His help?
With God's help we win-think about it -PASTOR JOE

MY BROTHER PAUL

Yesterday, my brother Paul and I were having lunch at a local favorite place, and he saw a ship, and ask me to paint him a picture of it.
Last night I had art class which is always fun, and so I painted it with the help of my teacher. She is great.
I thank it turned out well.
I told my brother I only would charge him $4,000. But I think I will let him off cheaper-what do you think?
Be kind, and have a good one-PASTOR JOE

WHAT GOD SEES

2 Kings 3:1. Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.
2. And he wrought evil in the sight of the Lord;
Who are we like?
How does God see us?
Is God pleased with the way we choose to live?
What do we need to change?
Do we know how to change bad habits?
God help us-PASTOR JOE

GOOD AND BAD HABITS

1 KINGS 3: 3. And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

Solomon had good points and he had bad points. That is not a good mixture. One things that saddens me is that he seem to just keep both.
Are we wrking on getting rid of our bad points?
What are our bad points?
Do we know?
God help us to be improving- PASTOR JOE

Enemies

2 Samuel 3:1. Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
It is such a shame that people do fight each other. Sometimes it is over little issues.
Sometimes the issues are very big.
Often, the issue is jealousy.
Saul felt David was a threat to him, but he wasn't.
Saul's worse enemy was Saul.
Are we our greatest enemy?

The Precious Word

1 Samuel 3: 1. And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
Even as a child Samuel knew God was important. He had the help of a mentor Eli. Who are we helping to be a great christian?
The word of the Lord was precious. Guess what- it still is.
The question is- how precious is the Bible to us?
Do we read it.
Apply it?
Love and adore it?
Live it?
One can do no better-PASTOR JOE

What are we know as?

Ruth 3: 11. And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
Ruth had many problems.
She was a young woman.
She could have had many men.
But Ruth proved to be a great woman in the sight of God and Boaz.
She was later made part of Jesus' family line-wow!
What are we know for?
How does the Lord see us?
Have a great weekend-PASTOR JOE

Learning

Judges 3: 1. Now these are the nations which the Lord left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
2. Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
God used war to teach His people vauable lessons.
Are we a learner?
Can God teach us?
How does God teach us? Do we know?
What will we learn today?

Waiting

Joshua 3:1. And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over.
They are getting ready to enter the Promised Land, but they had to wait. How are we on waiting? Isn't it fun? Not!
We are spoiled rotten- we want it now or yesterday.
Where is our patience?
Tomorrow is not our favorite word.
Later-forget it.
In God's timing-you are kidding!
I close with Isaiah 40: 31. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Lord,help us-PASTOR JOE

He said take it easy for 2 days-wow! I am trying to come off the meds, and I need to.
If you see the train, let me know,please-PASTOR JOE

Where is God?

Amos 9: 1. I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. 2. Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
God is at His house. How often do we get there?
God is in the altar at His house. How often do we go there?
God is disappointed with his people. Is God disappointed with us?
Bad things will happen to people who think they are good, but aren't.
Think seriously about these matters-PASTOR JOE

A need-a plan

Deut. 3: 28. But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
God desired to bless Joshua.
He had Moses to encourage him.
Today God desires to bless many people, and perhaps, He will use us to encourage them.
Make a point to encourage someone today-bet they need it.

Doing God's will

Deut. 3: 22. Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.
War is an awful thing, but sinful humans do fight, and for many hell waits.
God sometimes calls His people to do away with sin and evil.
God desires that we trust Him in all things.
God also promises to help us as we do His will-wow!
What a deal!
Thanks God.

HELP

Numbers 3: 5. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 6. Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.

God had a plan to help His people spiritually.
A priest-Aaron
Many people to help the priest do more for the glory of God.

Too many think the preacher is to do it all, but not so. God desires others to help him to do more.
What are you doing to help your pastor to do more for the glory of God? It is bibical. Think about it-PASTOR JOE

SERIOUS QUESTIONS TO PONDER

Leviticus 3:1. And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the Lord.
Several words are worthy of our attention:
1. sacrifice- Do we make sacrifices for the glory of God? Do we ever sacrifice our pleasure for Him?
When did we last help someone?
2. without blemish- what are our faults? Do we know? Do we want to know? Who would dare love us enough to help us in this area?

Think about these serious questions and have a good one-PASTOR JOE

Exodus 2-Moses protected by God

In Exodus 2 we learn how Moses was loved by:
His mother
His sister
Pharoah's daughter
By God.
It might amaze us to know just how many do really love us.
Do we love others as we should?
Who do we love?
Do we love God?
He sure loves us.

Today, I have a book signing in Simpsonville, and I am thrilled-may it will go well for God's glory-PASTOR JOE

A Troubling Verse

Jeremiah 1:4. Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
This is a troubling verse. I know God knows all things, but are we messing with the plan of God by killing babies? How does God feel about abortion? Do we feel like God does about abortion? How should we feel about abortion?
What does this verse say to you? Think about it seriously-Pastor Joe

Isaiah 2:1. The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
LET'S STUDY-
Isaiah was a great man of God- are we close to God?
Isaiah knew God's message-do we?
Isaiah cared about his people-do we?
Isaiah shared what he knew with others-do we?
We have much to think about-PASTOR JOE

MADLY IN LOVE

SONG OF SOLOMON 2: 4. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
Here is a man and a woman madly in love.
THEY LOVED BEING TOGETHER,
THEY DID FUN THINGS TOGETHER.
THEY EAT TOGETHER.
SHE FELT HIS LOVE ALL AROUND HER.

WHO DO WE LOVE? DO WE LOVE GOD? DO WE DARE LOVE ANYONE MORE?
DO WE ONLY LOVE OURSELVES?

THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT THESE THINGS- PASOR JOE
