Mother is 83
Today I honor my precious Mother who is 83. Several of the family will go with us as we take her to Silver Bay for flounder. I am glad she is my Mother, even if she is having serious memory problems. Physically she is doing well.
Pray for my buddy Dan next Thursday afternoon he will have a kidney removed- it has a mass. Pray he does well.
The 10 acres next to the church is sold . We praise the Lord that did happen-that was a big debt. God is good-have a great one-PASTOR JOE

BLESSED
Yes us, we are blessed. God is so good all of the time. I am excited about this week-God is going to bless us. This is a big week for my buddy Dan- he may finally get his needed operation over with-please pray for him.

Art class
The end of May I went to art class not realizing it would be Sept. 20 before I would go again. It was great to see many old buddies and feel their kindness-I am blessed by having many dear and precious friends. I did start a painting- I will show it to you soon. Toothache not better at 9 will call my dentist and get this other one fixed.

Gumache
What- a gumache. The dentist treated me for a tissue infection around the tooth. It was no fun, but I was encouraged when a church member last night said she cared-she read my blog-thanks Diane-hope you have a good day.
The Lord has a great sense of humor- last night just before my last bite at supper a tooth cracked and the edge broke off- so back to the dentist tomorrow-he is off today. Life goes on aided by the 2 pills I now take 4 times per day. I need prayer please.
Have a good one and say an extra prayer for my buddy Dan as he goes for more preop test-PASTOR JOE

I HAVE A TOOTHACHE
I have a toothache-who cares? That is such a good question. That is one of our major problems- we choose not to care much if any about anyone but ourselves and very few others. Getting Ready
What are we getting ready for? Is it work? Play, school,a shower, a bath, a trip, a vacation,a party? We are also getting ready for eternity. Are we getting ready for Heaven or hell? To not get readt for heaven is to get ready for hell. To get ready for hell you don't have to do a thing, but ignore Jesus-think about it. Listen carefully- John 14:6 (KJV)

PLEASE PRAY
Some of us are so blessed to have long time dear friends. Such dear friends of Louise and I as Dan and Sue are very rare. Dan is having a very serious problem- a mass in a kidney is cancerous they are 98% sure- so when the heart and lung doctors say ok he will have his kidney removed. The good news is the mass is not attached. So I ask you to pray for my buddy Dan and Sue.

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Sometimes we act as if we don't have good sense-yes-me and you probably. We think we have to help God do His thing.
Imagine us try to help God. What a joke. The Spirit of God convicted us-led us to Jesus, and keeps us saved. GLORY-ENJOY IT-PASOR JOE

A GREAT GIFT
Galatians 3: 2. This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Paul who wrote this letter was not afraid to ask questions. Here he asks a good one-did you recieve the Spirit by keeping the laws, or did He come to you after you believed in Jesus?
The answer is- after we believed in Jesus we recieved the Spirit.
Why study this? It is important that we understand faith in Jesus opens new doors like nothing else can or does.
What does Jesus want to give us today? eNJOY IT-PASTOR JOE

THEME FOR THE WEEK
We shall learn from Galatians 3 this week-today we shall share Galatians 3 in part.
Galatians 3: 1. O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Are we foolish? What is foolish-unwise, a person led by their emotions instead of God.
Would people try to trick us? Daily I get free unasked for credit cards-why? Use our card and pay our % of interest-not wise.
Many of the Galatians saw Jesus die on the cross, but now they are suffering from memory loss. Are there some things we need to never forget-YES-JESUS SAVES......

The secret of getting help
Sunday morning I hope to be speaking on Help-I need Help. What is the secret of getting help-think seriously now-it is surrendering to it. I need help-now I want it. Jesus asked-What do you want me to do for you?

A BIG DAY
Today our church buys 17 acres of land in front of the church. History is made, and I am very proud of the seller who kept his word first chance goes to the church. I am proud too of the church family willing to buy the land.

A FUN DAY

LABOR DAY?
If it is Labor day, then why does nobody labor. Would it not be better to call it NON LABOR DAY? I am being silly.
Let me ask a question. Who are we working for? God or Satan? You may say-neither, but to not work for God is to work for Satan-think about it.
Yesterday we had 100 for morning service, and such a good spirit. Last night we had near 50 with another good spirit. I used our new 10x10 screen with powerpoint presentations. I will master those things. They help all to learn better I am told.
