CAN WE LEARN?

Proverbs 19:25-29 (HCSB) CAN WE LEARN?
25 Strike a mocker, and the inexperienced learn a lesson; rebuke the discerning, and he gains knowledge.
26 The one who assaults his father and evicts his mother is a disgraceful and shameful son.
27 If you stop listening to correction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge.
28 A worthless witness mocks justice, and a wicked mouth swallows iniquity.
29 Judgments are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools.

SOME LOVE TO MAKE FUN OF OTHERS
CAN THEY STAND TO BE CORRECTED?
A WISE PERSON BE CORRECTED AND BE SMARTER
WE ALL NEED TO BE SMARTER
LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE SAY TO US
LISTEN AND LEARN
OUR WORDS AND ACTION TELL WHO WE REALLY ARE
JUDGMENT IS AHEAD FOR MOCKERS AND FOOLS
WISE UP AND LISTEN AND LEARN

LISTEN

Proverbs 19:20-24 (HCSB)  LISTEN
20  Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life.
21  Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the LORD’s decree will prevail.
22  What is desirable in a man is his fidelity; better to be a poor man than a liar.
23  The fear of the LORD leads to life; one will sleep at night without danger.
24  The slacker buries his hand in the bowl; he doesn’t even bring it back to his mouth.

WE MUST BE HARD HEADED
AGAIN WE ARE TOLD TO LISTEN
GROW UP
BE SMART NOW AND LATER
THE LORD IS IN CHARGE OF OUR LIVES NOT US
ARE WE TRUE TO OUR WORD?
DO WE EVER LIE
1 LIE AND WE ARE A LIAR
BE TRUTHFUL ALWAYS
DO WE RESPECT THE LORD?
IF WE TRUST HIM WE CAN SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT
ARE WE LAZY- IT IS CATCHING ON

PAY ATTENTION

Proverbs 19:15-19 (NLT) PAY ATTENTION
15  Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry.
16  Keep the commandments and keep your life; despising them leads to death.
17  If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORDand he will repay you!
18  Discipline your children while there is hope. Otherwise you will ruin their lives.
19  Hot-tempered people must pay the penalty. If you rescue them once, you will have to do it again.

DON'T BE LAZY
TOO MANY ARE
THEY SHOULD BE HUNGRY
I SEE HIRING SIGNS EVERY DAY
NO IT IS NOT BELOW YOU
GET A JOB
IF WE LIVE AS THE BIBLE TEACHES, WE WILL LIVE LONGER
HELPING THE POOR GIVES US GOD'S BLESSINGS
TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN OR THEY WILL TRAIN YOU
CONTROL YOUR TEMPER OR IT WILL CONTROL YOU
SOME WE CAN'T HELP- THEY WILL NOT LET US

ARE WE READY?

Proverbs 19:10-14 (NLT)
10  It isn’t right for a fool to live in luxury or for a slave to rule over princes!
11  Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.
12  The king’s anger is like a lion’s roar, but his favor is like dew on the grass.
13  A foolish child is a calamity to a father; a quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping.
14  Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the LORD can give an understanding wife.

WE NEED TO BE READY TO DO A JOB WELL
GET ALL THE EDUCATION YOU CAN
ALWAYS BE A LEARNER
DO WE CONTROL OUR TEMPER OR DOES IT CONTROL US?
CAN WE KEEP OUR MOUTH SHUT?
BE CAREFUL OF THE BOSS- THEY ARE THE BOSS
ARE WE A GOOD CHILD?
WE NEED TO BE
ARE WE FUSSY- GOD FORBID
THE GIFTS OF GOD SURE ARE NICE
ARE WE USING OURS?

REAL FRIENDS

Proverbs 19:5-9 (NLT) REAL FRIENDS
5  A false witness will not go unpunished, nor will a liar escape.
6  Many seek favors from a ruler; everyone is the friend of a person who gives gifts!
7  The relatives of the poor despise them; how much more will their friends avoid them! Though the poor plead with them, their friends are gone.
8  To acquire wisdom is to love oneself; people who cherish understanding will prosper.
9  A false witness will not go unpunished, and a liar will be destroyed.

DON'T EVER LIE.
SOME ONLY WANT TO GET NOT GIVE
WE ALL LOVE GIFTS
ARE WE A GIVER, TOO?
POOR FOLKS HAVE FEW FRIENDS, IF ANY
TO BE WISE IS TO LOVE OUR SELF
IF WE CRAVE UNDERSTANDING WE WILL BE RICHLY BLESSED
WE REAP WHAT WE SOW
NO LIES PLEASE

BE HONEST

Proverbs 19:1-4 (NLT)
1  Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and a fool.
2  Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.
3  People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.
4  Wealth makes many “friends”; poverty drives them all away.

WE ALL NEED TO BE HONEST
HONESTLY
TOO MANY AREN'T
WE NEED TO KNOW SO MUCH MORE
WE MUST HUMBLE OURSELVES AND LEARN ALL WE CAN
SLOW DOWN
HELLO-US-YES US
WE LOVE TO BLAME GOD FOR OUR GOOFS
WE DON'T FOOL HIM
PEOPLE LOVE US WHEN WE HAVE MONEY
PEOPLE AVOID US WHEN WE ARE BROKE
HONESTLY

BE SMARTER

Proverbs 18:20-24 (NLT)
20  Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the right words bring satisfaction.
21  The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
22  The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD.
23  The poor plead for mercy; the rich answer with insults.
24  There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

WORDS ARE POWERFUL
THEY CAN MAKE OR BRAKE YOU
THEY CAN HELP OR HURT
BE SMART IN WHAT YOU SAY
KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH
A GOOD WIFE IS ONE OF GOD'S GREATEST GIFTS- I KNOW FIRST HAND
LOVE THAT LOUISE
GOD HAS BLESSED ME SO BECAUSE OF HER
BE A PERSON OF MERCY- WE ALL NEED IT
WATCH OUR ATTITUDE
REAL FRIENDS ARE SUCH A BLESSING
AGAIN I KNOW FIRST HAND
ENJOY THEM THEY ARE HARD TO FIND
